I placed an order with Classic Industries on 1/24/2012 for a 8011080-01, Rack & Pinion Kit for a 75 - 81 Camaro.
It is my understanding that this kit is being prepared for Classic Industries. Could you please give me an estimated date as to when this kit will be finished.
I would like to start rebuilding the front suspension and steering components in conjunction with the installation of this new kit, but don't want to leave the car on jacks while waiting for the R&P kit.
Thanks, Ken Boughton
Hello Ken,
We are working on the 2nd Gen Camaros now and they should be done before the end of the month. It is difficult in manufacturing to give exact days of completion because there are so many possibilities when making a line of product. We strive to give the best estimated dates and work very hard getting the product out as soon as possible.
Thanks for your blog,
Brandon Kirby

The new style manual Mustang rack and pinion kits and all of the power Mustang rack & pinion kits use the same column connection and the same column modification. The new manual Mustang rack part numbers consist of 8001090-01, 8001110-01, and 8001120-01. These are center take off racks. The old kits have end take off racks.
Both of the 60-65 Falcon rack and pinion kits come with a new steering column shaft, but they are both slightly different from each other.
The new manual Mustang kits, power Mustang kits, and the manual 60-65 Falcon kits will fit with nearly any header. Most headers will fit with the 60-65 power Falcon kit.
No, Unisteer does not sell steering arms separately. Steering arms do come included, and they are necessary, with our Tri-5 rack & pinion, our 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, and 1967 Chevy II rack and pinion kit, and our 1967, 1968, and 1969 Camaro, and 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974 Chevrolet Nova power rack & pinions. If you already have our rack and pinion and need steering arms you can send us a picture of your rack and a copy of your invoice from your original purchase and we can sell you the steering arms as a special order.
Our 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, and 1964 Full-Size Ford Rack and Pinion Kits are ready for purchase. We do not have any ready to ship, but we can take orders and we will ship you the first one available. Click here or give us a call for details at 800-338-9080.
These rack and pinion bolt-in power steering kits retail at $1599.00 and come complete with everything needed for installation including;
We finished the Polaris RZR UTV Doors for the 2008, 2009, and 2010 models! We have plenty of pictures of them in red, but they come in just about any color. They have a solid frame too, so they will hold up to an accident.
Doors are a necessary item for safety in your RZR UTV because they keep objects from coming in and they keep your legs from falling out. I once saw a man stick his leg out on a roll over and the UTV crushed him. Polaris RZR UTV doors will help you protect yourself from yourself!
Our doors attach to the frame and roll bar of the Polaris RZR in locations where there is no drilling or welding needed for installation. The RZR doors have an easily accessible safety latch and will open as far as you need. Plus, they give you the full length of the doorway unlike some other brands that make you pay extra for this feature. You can order the Polaris RZR UTV doors on our website by clicking here or give us a call at (800)338-9080. One of my favorite things about these new Polaris RZR UTV doors, and one of the most important, is that they look good too!!!
Our electric power steering system is called Electra-Steer. Electra Steer is a compact electric assist unit that reduces steering effort up to 35% compared to manual steering. These kits include the motor, computer, wiring harness, and mounting hardware. This electric power steering kit is limited for vehicles up to 3,000 lbs. It runs off of your vehicles existing 12 volt charging system. The only other items you will need for the universal electric power steering kit are two couplers or u-joints. The input and output shaft size and spline count is a 9/16-30 spline. For further directions on the Unisteer electric steering kit please download our installation instructions by clicking here and selecting #30.
UTV's have rack and pinion steering that don’t normally generate slop unless something is broken. On most utility vehicles, slop in steering normally occurs because the rack & pinion housing itself is cracked under a boot. Look over your steering rack to see if there are any cracks or if anything is loose. Remember you may have to look under the steering boots also. If your rack is broken, then consider upgrading it to the Rackzilla, a heavy-duty UTV replacement rack. You can view the Rackzilla replacement racks carried by Unisteer by clicking here.
All Unisteer products, except electrical components, come with a limited lifetime warranty. Electrical components come with a 1-year warranty. For more on our return policy and to download a return form click here.
Yes, we have some kits especially made just for certain long travel kits. If we do not have a kit already designed for your long travel, we can make one at no extra charge. To learn more about Rackzilla click here.
