We reward excellence, promote development, expect high ethical standards and support work/life balance. As we continue to expand our global initiatives, we now seek a positive and proactive Maintenance Technician to join the site team to maintain and ensure efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment as well as perform facilities maintenance and other assigned responsibilities.  The responsibilities associated with this position are critical to maintaining production operations, product quality and machinery / equipment safety.  

The involved work may include, but is not limited to, performing duties such as:

Job Duties:

  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines.
  • Must be capable of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications as well as troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Responsible for diagnosis, repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and equipment.
  • As needed, capable to fabricate equipment parts by setting up and operating shop equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Contribute to team effort by safely accomplishing related responsibilities - results oriented.

 

Job Requirements & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience
  • Capability to independently perform various preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and related activities per requirements in a timely manner
  • Responsible for upkeep of machinery / equipment and ensuring minimal downtimes
  • Ambitious, positive and self-motivated worker
  • Able to prioritize work schedule to execute in order of importance
  • Significant mechanical aptitude & previous experience working in/on/around machinery
  • Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs.) for an extended period of time
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Experience or knowledge of PLC.
  • Computer skills, email, excel and internet explorer a plus


Preferred skills:

  • Ability to weld and fabricate a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/background in electricity/hydraulics/welding (stick, mig, oxy/act, etc.) and previous experience reading blue prints/manuals/service bulletins.
